The case of the donut thief
When a Gooey Gun lands, it fires Gooey Wilds to the left across the row until the grid’s edge and then transforms into a Gooey Wild itself. These guns can come with multipliers ranging from x1 to x100, and any Gooey Wilds created by the gun inherit the multiplier. If a winning combination includes Gooey Wilds, the row’s total multiplier applies to the win. In cases with multiple rows of connected Gooey Wilds, the multipliers are combined before being applied. A line of six wilds pays out 5x the bet.
Triggering three or four scatters activates the Bonus Choice menu, where players can select bonus rounds based on the number of scatters. Three scatters unlock the Warehouse or Stakeout bonus games, while four scatters unlock their enhanced versions: the Super Warehouse and Super Stakeout.
The Warehouse and Super Warehouse features play out on a grid with 3 lives that refill whenever a special symbol lands. Players encounter Adding Multipliers (1x to 100x), Multiplying Multipliers (x2 to x10), Batteries (expanding the flashlight’s light), and Light Switches (revealing the entire grid for one spin). Dead symbols consume flashlight charges, and lives are depleted when both flashlights are inactive. The collected Total Multiplier is awarded at the end of the bonus round, with the Super Warehouse ensuring a minimum of 5x for Adding Multipliers.
In the Stakeout and Super Stakeout rounds, gameplay mirrors the base game but with higher chances of landing Gooey Guns and bigger multipliers. Two scatters grant +2 spins, and three grant +4 spins. The Super Stakeout guarantees that after the first Gooey Gun lands on a row, another will always land on that row in subsequent spins.
Players can also access these features directly via the Bonus Buy options. Bonus Hunt FeatureSpins cost 3x the bet and offer a 5x increased chance of triggering a bonus. Goo In Guns Blazing! costs 50x the bet and guarantees two Gooey Guns per spin. For 100x the bet, players can choose between Warehouse and Stakeout bonus games, while for 200x the bet, they can unlock the super versions of these bonuses.
Is the Donut Division slot peak buddy cop greatness?
The Donut Division slot features 19 paylines spread across five reels. The slot offers betting from $0.10, and thanks to the 12,500x multiplier, even at those betting levels, you have a chance to score big. If you’re betting at the $25-a-spin maximum, you have a shot at winning up to $312,500. Hacksaw is at its best with the Donut Division slot. They nail the theme with this quirky twist that helps suck me into the gameplay. All of this is wrapped up in amazing illustrations brought to life with some thoughtful animations and a stack of great bonus features. And as usual, they nail the details. I really love how the two characters positioned on either side of the slot aren’t just there for decoration—they interact with the slot’s gameplay, allowing the action to spill over from the reels to fill every square centimetre of the screen. This one is an easy ten out of ten for me.
