Mini Roulette is Roulette on Easy Mode

Imagine regular roulette on a serious diet, making the whole experience feel like playing it on easy mode. For a game that was invented hundreds of years ago and hasn’t changed much since the Americans decided to add the double zero, this roulette-light concept is bordering on sacrilegious. Nonetheless, the heathens are here to stay, and they’ve got something you should check out.

If you’re tired of the same old roulette, check out Mini Roulette from Platipus.

The 411 on roulette

Generally speaking, roulette comes in two main forms: European Roulette and American Roulette. The difference between the two is slight, with European Roulette featuring 37 pockets (numbers 1 to 36 and a single zero) and American Roulette featuring 38 pockets (numbers 1 to 36, a single zero, and a double zero). There’s also French Roulette, but that’s essentially European Roulette with a few extra rules.

Mini Roulette is significantly different from the other two main forms of roulette. Instead of 37 or 28 pockets, Mini Roulette has just 12 pockets (numbers 1 to 11 and a single zero). The result is a variant of roulette that allows you to cover the board for significantly less than in one of the more traditional forms of roulette.

What is “cover the board”?

“Covering the board” is a basic roulette strategy that is kind of like trying to win the lottery by buying every single number combination possible. You spread bets all over the place—on single numbers, pairs, rows, corners—basically if there’s a spot, you’ve got it covered! You might win more often, but you’ll need a bankroll the size of Texas and the luck of a four-leaf clover in a rabbit’s foot factory. Unless you’re playing Mini Roulette, that is. In that case, you’ll need what you spend on your morning Starbucks run.

Mini Roulette from Platipus

Platipus isn’t the first to create a Mini Roulette game. It is, however, still a relatively rare thing to find at an online casino. For BitStarz, the Platipus release is the first version of this “light” variant of the classic roulette table game.

Mini Roulette from Platipus allows a maximum bet of $500, which gives you a shot at winning up to $6,000 with each spin of the wheel. The game offers an RTP of 96.15% and features low volatility.

If you prefer the classics, we still offer both European Roulette and American Roulette.
