Olympus-Plinko---Balls-From-Above

Olympus Plinko: Balls From Above

Zeus had a habit of throwing lightning bolts like he was playing an ancient version of darts, except instead of hitting the bullseye, he’d zap unlucky mortals for fun. You’d think the king of gods would have better hobbies, but no—Zeus just loved showing off his electric aim. Now, imagine the king of gods throwing balls instead of lightning bolts.

BetSoft explores that alternate reality with its brand-new game, Olympus Plinko

What you need to know

If you haven’t played Plinko before, here’s a quick rundown. The game features a pyramid of pins that guide balls down to an array of win multipliers that feature the smallest multipliers in the center spots and the largest in the leftmost and rightmost positions. At the beginning of a round, you select how many balls you would like to drop into the pyramid of pins and what bet per ball you would like to place. The balls are then dropped with the value of the multiplier slot each ball drops into being applied to the bet amount.

Olympus Plinko does, however, add a little extra to a standard game of Plinko. The game features glowing orange multiplier spots. If a ball passes through this feature, it will receive a 2x multiplier that will be applied to the final winning amount of that ball. Each ball can pass through a maximum of three multiplier portals increasing the multiplier by 2x with each for a maximum multiplier of 6x.

A counter in the top right-hand corner will track the number of individual balls you play. Once you have played 1,700 balls, you will earn a spin of the Extra Prize Wheel. The wheel will give you a chance to win free balls, which won’t count toward your next Extra Prize Wheel trigger, or cash prizes, including the game’s progressive jackpots.

Is Olympus Plinko electrifying or a bit of a letdown?

Olympus Plinko by BetSoft features bet limits of $0.10 to $1, with a maximum win of $4,593 per ball. The game offers a 4,593x multiplier per ball, has variable volatility, and an RTP ranging from 80.21% to 98.32%.

Plinko is one of those games that very rarely gets a fresh take. The game is generally offered in its most basic form with little to no bonus features. Olympus Plinko bucks that trend. The game certainly isn’t overflowing with bonus features but there is enough there to significantly differentiate it from a standard game of Plinko. I give this one a seven out of ten.

If you’re looking for a few non-Plinko games from BetSoft, I recommend trying out Rockstar World Tour Hold & Win and Wild Drops.
