There is such a thing as a good sequel. Think The Godfather Part II, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2, The Dark Knight and Aliens. It can be done. Great slot sequels are, however, a rarity. This is probably because slot sequels are a rare entity as is. There are really only a few developers that make sequels to games. Relax Gaming is one of those developers that does.

Less than six months after releasing Money Train 4, Relax Gaming has gone back to sequels with Money Cart 4 slot. 

All aboard the Money Cart

The slot’s re-spin feature is triggered with three or more symbols. This means that it can be a combination of the bonus symbol and the persistent gold special symbols, which are the only symbols that appear in the base game. Once triggered, all bonus symbols will be transformed into multiplier values, and any special symbols will be activated. You will then have three re-spins to add more symbols to the reels. If you manage it, your three spins will be reset. However, if you don’t manage to add a new symbol to the reels over the course of three re-spins, your round will be over.

Each special symbol has a standard version and a gold persistent version. The standard version will be activated only on the spin that it appeared. The persistent special symbols will be activated on every spin they are present on the reels.

Special symbols:

• Collector – This symbol collects all visible multiplier values and adds the values to its own. There is also an Adjacent Collector symbol that collects any values in the eight positions that surround it.
• Payer – This symbol reveals a multiplier value and then adds it to all other multiplier values. There is also an Adjacent Player symbol that will add its own value to any values in the eight positions that surround it. 
• Sniper – This symbol will double the values of between three and eight other symbols. 
• Collector Payer – This symbol selects three to five multiplier values, collects those values, and adds the accumulated value to all targeted values. 
• Arms Dealer – This symbol converts between one and four standard multiplier value symbols into a special symbol. 
• Necromancer – This symbol reactivates two to seven non-persistent special symbols. 
• Upgrader – This symbol upgrades one to three non-persistent special symbols into persistent special symbols.

Money Cart 4 slot features four locked rows, two above the unlocked play area and two below. These rows are unlocked one by one either by an Unlocker special symbol or by filling an entire row with symbols.

Money Cart 4 slot offers a 15,000x max multiplier, which, when you’re betting at $15 per spin, gives you a shot at up to $225,000 in winnings. If the $15 a spin maximum is a little too much for your balance, betting starts at just $0.10 a spin. The slot offers high volatility and an RTP of 96%.

Relax Gaming is no stranger to sequels. Money Train, for instance, also has four games in the series. That comparison is notable because the two games share a lot of graphics and have had a very similar progression from cowboy to post-apocalyptic and, finally, futuristic themes. What has been great about this progression is that while the games always have a similar feeling, they are always unique in their appearance, something that is not guaranteed with a slot sequel.

Money Cart 4 slot lacks many of the basic elements of a slot. There are no low or high-paying symbols. There are no paylines, ways to win, or cluster pays. The game is really just bonus symbols and the re-spin feature. Despite this, the slot still offers an extremely engaging experience. The graphics are also great, although the story behind the graphics could be clearer. It would have been nice to have an intro. I also think it would have been nice to have one of the characters standing next to the slot, engaging with the player. As is, the slot feels a little devoid of life. It is, however, still a rock-solid slot. I give this one an eight out of ten.
