There’s no Denzel in the Empire of Wealth Slot
The first Gladiator was perfect. No sequel was needed. But we got one anyway— one with Denzel Washington playing the same character he played in Training Day, but in a toga. It was weird, and it made me feel weird. It made me question if my childhood love for the original was all a lie!
Thankfully, GameArt arrived with its new Empire of Wealth slot to purge all memory of the sequel from my brain for good.
Are you not entertained?
The Empire of Wealth slot offers 4,096 ways to win, split across a 6×4 reel grid. The slot offers betting from just $0.20. Betting at the maximum of $60 will give you a shot at up to $305,640 in winnings thanks to a 5,094x maximum multiplier. The slot has high volatility, which means that you’ll need to be happy chasing big wins without the comfort of smaller, consistent wins in between. The slot’s RTP is 96.04%.
The slot features cash and jackpot symbols that can be unlocked with collect symbols. This feature is active both during base gameplay and during the Bonus Colossus feature. When a collect symbol lands on the same spin as either a cash symbol or a jackpot symbol, the value of the symbol will be awarded.
With the appearance of three or more scatter symbols, you’ll get a chance to pick either a round of the Free Spins Forum or the Bonus Colossus. If you pick the Free Spins Forum, you will receive eight, twelve, twenty, or thirty free spins, depending on whether you unlock the feature with three, four, five, or six scatter symbols, respectively. If you pick the Bonus Colossus, you will receive 2, 3, 5, or 7 spins if you unlock the feature with three, four, five, or six scatter symbols, respectively.
During a round of the slot’s free spins feature, you have the chance to unlock additional free spins. The bonus feature also offers wild multipliers, which can result in some boosted wins. The Bonus Colossus bonus feature only displays collect, cash, or jackpot symbols, with a collect symbol guaranteed to appear on every spin.
If you’re not keen on unlocking a round of the bonus feature through the old-fashioned way, you can choose to just buy a round.
Is the Empire of Wealth slot destined to fall?
While empires come and go, great slot games live forever. Yes, that’s more than a little hyperbolic, but not untrue. Empire of Wealth is pretty close to being great. Sure, the mobile-first configuration did dampen my experience somewhat, but that disappointment was short-lived. The bonus features were engaging, offering both choice and a fresh take on a format I thought for certain was just going to be a standard hold-and-win feature. The impressive graphics and an engaging soundtrack brought the whole experience together for a fun few hours of gameplay. I’ll be coming back to this one. I give the Empire of Wealth slot a ten out of ten.
If you’re looking for a few other slot games from GameArt to try out, I recommend Piggy Bjorn 2 – Winter is Coming or Halloween Farm.
