Consider changing your DNS settings
Pencil-pushing bureaucrats with their endless red tape are the cause for these issues. They want full control over your web activity and force your service provider to censor their Domain Name System (DNS) records. By doing this, they prohibit you from accessing certain sites and information. Think of the DNS as the phonebook or contact list of the internet. They are literally blocking contacts from your list without your approval.
These issues are easily avoided by changing the DNS settings on your device. This is a very simple task, there’s no need to call in reinforcements. If you’ve never done anything like this before, fear not! This is why you have a buddy at BitStarz to guide you through the steps. If you follow these instructions carefully, you’ll be up and running before you know it!
Please write down your current server addresses and settings before making any changes in order to keep the information safe, should you ever need to configure your system back to the default settings.
Google Public DNS IP addresses
If you are familiar with changing IP address information and you know where to configure your DNS server settings on your device, please use the following information to configure your settings to the Google DNS server.
Should you need any further instructions or more information on configuring the settings for your specific operating system and device, it can be found here.
The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:
- 8.8.8.8
- 8.8.4.4
The Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses are as follows:
- 2001:4860:4860::8888
- 2001:4860:4860::8844
You can use either address as your primary or secondary DNS server. Configure at least two DNS addresses for the most reliable DNS service. Don’t specify the same address for both primary and secondary address. Use a different address for each.
