As the title suggests, Jungle Books is based on the ever popular Disney Classic, The Jungle Book. This slot has all the necessities of life that plays out in 5 different Realms each with their own reel set and features, essentially making this slot 5 slots in 1. I get lost in jungles as it is, so bear with me as we explore the 5 Realms of the jungle in this exquisite slot game.

Gameplay

As mentioned above this is a 5 slots in 1 video slot powered by Yggdrasilsoftware each with their own paylines and reel sets as will be explained below:

The Boy, Tiger and Bear Realms have 3-3-4-3-3 reels and 58 paylines.
The Panther Realm has 4-3-3-3-4 reels and 68 paylines.
The Snake Realm has 4-3-3-3-4 reels and 68 paylines both ways.

Each character (as mentioned above) is the host of their own realm, each having 2 special features, however it is possible to have a another character join the realm as a guest adding 1 of their features to the mix. More detail will be given in the features section.

Symbols include 4 lower paying symbols in the form of different Card Suits, 4 higher paying symbols being fruits and a super high paying symbol of 3 hanging fruits. There is also a regular Wild symbol.

Features in Jungle Books include the Fusion Realms allowing for the interplay of 5 different Realms within 1 slot and their specific features.

A one of the Unique Features of Jungle Books, is the Fusion Realms mechanic that allows the game to move through 5 Realms automatically during the game. Ultimately what this means is that when you randomly move to a new Realm, the reel set is different from the other and comes with it’s own features in play as well as backgrounds. As mentioned earlier, it is possible to have a guest appear in a host realm where 1 of the guest realm features will also be in play resulting in both the host’s features and guest’s feature in play (3 features as opposed to only 2) Below are the different Realms and their Features:

The Boy Realm has a Spreading Wilds feature where any wild that lands is spreads1 to 2 extra wild symbols in random positions. There is also the Synced Reels Feature where reels 1 and 2 are synced together and reels 4 and 5 are synced together.

If the Boy appears as a guest in other realms and the Synced Reels feature is in play it will sync the following reels:
Tiger and Bear Realms: Reels 1 and 2 are synced together and reels 4 and 5 are synced together.
Snake and Panther Realms: Reels 2, 3 and 4 are synced together.

The Tiger Realm has a Sticky Respins feature that is triggered when any winning combination is formed with the contributing symbols in the win as well as wild symbols remaining sticky on the reels for a respin. There is also a Stacked WildsUnlike fully expanded Wilds, which is a single Wild that takes over an entire reel, Stacked Wilds will appear as individual symbols stacked one on top of another. They can take over a reel but don’t always have to. feature placing stacked Wilds on the tallest reel (reel 3).

The Bear Realm has a Stacked Symbols feature where 1 symbol, including the Wild symbol and Honeycomb symbol, is randomly chosen becoming stacked on all reels on every spin. This includes the wild symbol and Honeycomb symbol. This symbol is added to the tallest reel (reel 3). Landing 1 or more Honeycomb Symbols triggers a Pick & Click minigame where you are awarded with a prize between 50 and 50000 coins for each Honeycomb symbol that lands.

If the Bear appears as a guest in other realms and the Honeycomb Symbol feature is in play it will be placed on the following reels:
Boy and Tiger Realms: Reel 3
Panther Realm: Reels 1 and 5
Snake Realm: Reels 2, 3 and 4

The Panther Realm has a wild Superhigh Pay Symbol feature. All Superhigh Pay Symbols that land are turned into wilds. There’s also a Win Multiplier feature that is triggered at random giving you a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x randomly on wins.

The Snake Realm has a 3x Wild Multiplier feature. If you land a winning combination that has at least 1 wild in it, it will be multiplied 3x. The Win Both Ways feature is also in play during the Snake Realm.

Performance

Jungle Books has taken slot play to a completely different level, or shall we say different realms, with it’s Fusion Realm mechanic. Although there are plenty innovative features in this slot, it may be just a bit too much and off-putting for some. The graphics and animation is absolutely incredible. It may seem intense when reading about it but, when you start playing the game, it becomes much more simplified to understand as each realm has icons reminding you of the features in play. Besides being a mouthful, Jungle Books will tick all the boxes with avid gamers. If you are currently reading this, well done on making it to the end!
