Lucky Blue Slot Review

70 percent of the earth is covered by ocean, the vast majority of which remains unexplored. Who knows what lurks in the depths, waiting to attack….
So, when I was told I had to review an aquatically* themed video slot my interest was immediately piqued. Being a fan of every cheap SciFi shark movie ever made, my anticipation was high. Would it reign sharks down from the sky like "Sharknado" or would we meet a genetically modified monster like in "Frankenfish"?
I was a little taken aback when I started Lucky Blue, discovering it was more reminiscent of "The Little Mermaid" than "Jaws." This BGAMING creation won me over in no time though, with a gorgeous underwater background and some adorable graphics. Maybe the sea wasn't to be feared after all?

Gameplay

Lucky Blue is a 5 reel and 9 payline slot, so we're dealing with quite a high level of volatility. The reels are transparent, and the symbols are encased in bubbles – nice touches which enhance the theme.
The symbols are Gold bars, a friendly shark, anchor, crab, starfish, turtle and seahorse. As in so many slots, some card letters and numbers (10-A) are slipped in as symbols as well.
The wild is the gold bars which substitute for anything except the scatter, which is the shark.
The control panel is also transparent and blends in very unobtrusively. Along the bottom are Balance Displays, Line Count, Max Bet, Spin, Auto Spins and Bet Value. Up top, you can find Exit, Provably Fair Settings and General Settings.
I'm not really a turbo spin fan, so the absence of it didn't worry me too much.

Features

All winning paylines that feature a wild have their winnings doubled. 3 or more scatters triggers 15 free spins.

Unique Features

Lucky Blue is a Provably Fair Game, which is always a plus. What is Provably Fair you ask? Well, I'll save you from Googling: A Provably Fair Game is one in which the algorithm applied can be verified for fairness. Kudos to BGAMING and I hope many other games developers follow suit.

Performance

Lucky Blues graphics are brilliantly rendered and I couldn't help being charmed by them. The music is equally as cute and is a great accompaniment which only comes along after a win. The sounds effects, aptly enough, are rushing water which unfortunately made me want to urinate every 10 minutes. I tested Lucky Blue on both P.C and my phone - it worked great.

Conclusion

It's pointless trying not to like Lucky Blue – it's a futile exercise. Don't fight the cuteness! I'm sure that after a short time this slot will win you over as it did me. It's innocent fun and the addition of any wild wins being doubled is a fantastic feature. Combine this with the fact that this is a rare Provably Fair Game and the conclusion is a no-brainer: It's worth plunging into Lucky Blue!
