Wild Fruits Slot Review

On a romantic evening last year a fruit slot was taking a stroll and met the lively, yet charming cowboy slot of her dreams. 9 months later Endorphina's Wild Fruits was born!
OK – that's not how it really happened, but that was the first vision I got when starting Wild Fruits. Probably more realistic:
A solemn board meeting at Endorphina headquarters where the software designers are under pressure to come up with a new idea. “What about mixing a fruit slot theme with a wild west theme?” pipes up a junior executive.
The entire boardroom waist for the CEO's response, ready to follow his lead...” Genius he exclaims! Pure genius”. The rest of the room heartily agrees, nodding their heads.
Were they right? Well, I'm not sure on that, but it's certainly different. Like most Endoprhina offerings, this artfully constructed game can be played on P.C, mobile device or tablet.
I'm not sure how to describe the emotions Wild Fruits elicited, but I sorta felt like a tough as nails cowboy, sitting down at a rough saloon and ordering - “Gimme a fruit salad – straight up and keep em coming!”

Gameplay

Wild Fruits is a 5 reel and 50 payline slot which has a low level of volatility. There's a written “wild” logo which can replace any other symbols except the scatter, which is a sheriff's badge. The standard symbols are a lucky 7, coconut (because you know they were very prevalent in the Wild West…), watermelon, grapes, strawberry, lemon, plum, orange, cherries and apple.
The controls are aesthetically appealing and unobtrusive. Up top are Credits, while down below is everything else needed: Bet, Menu (including Paytable Info and Autoplay Advanced Settings), Total Bet, Autoplay, Spin and Lines.
There's no Turbospin so try to relax and enjoy the leisurely pace.

Features

  • Every winning spin in regular play affords you the option of a “Risk Game” afterward, in which you need to select from 4 face-down cards. If yours is higher than the dealers, your profits are doubled, if not, they are forfeited.

  • The scatter symbol appears on reels 1-3 only and is the key to getting Free Spins: 3 scatters anywhere activates 10 Free Spins with stacked wilds on reels 2-5. These Free Spins are re-triggerable, with 3 scatters during this feature activating another 5 Free Spins.

Performance

The music set the western scene perfectly while the sound effects were “old school slot” and worked pretty well. The faded graphics are quite effectively stylised despite being simple. Wild Fruits performed well on all test, with no delays or glitches.

Conclusion

Well, this one's the sort of “Cronut” of slots – a bizarre hybrid of themes that is worth checking out for the novelty value alone. What might keep you coming back are the great Free Spins with stacked wilds and some enjoyable gameplay. Yeeha!
