Winds of Wealth Slot Review
Flatulence is generally considered to be impolite, right? Unless you have a particular penchant for the ol’ bum trumpet, then you’ll probably go out of your way to avoid other people’s gaseous odors – or risk instant asphyxiation.
But this isn’t actually the case for every culture. In Jeremy McClancy’s book, Consuming Culture, he writes about a tribe from the North-West Amazon who actually “delight in farting loudly, and often modulate the noise with their fingers or cupped hands.”
Frankly, that sounds a lot like a high school boys’ locker room. And while I don’t think that’s what Betsoft Gaming had in mind for its new Winds of Wealth slot, sometimes I can’t help going with a bit of toilet humor to lighten the mood.
Gameplay
Maybe I’m feeling generous today, but I don’t think I’ve seen such an aesthetically pleasing game in a while. Winds of Wealth slot has a classic Japanese theme, with graphics to match.
The reels are backed by a landscape of blooming cherry blossom trees, while the rest of the symbols sit front and center, and show off a variety of aspects from Shinto-Japanese religion.
BetSoft has made sure that Winds of Wealth slot looks just as good on a mobile phone as it does on a desktop. The screen adapts to portrait mode really well, and it would definitely be my go-to (over landscape, that is).
The stats are solid, with the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. coming in at 96.04%. The maximum win is a little low for a medium-high volatility slot, but I’ll take that €114,576 if you won’t.
Betting starts at €0.30 and goes up to €96, and the top multiplier comes in at 1,506x your bet – not the best.
And strangely enough, the only currency that you can’t play with is Japanese yen. Ah well.
Features
STACKED MYSTERY SYMBOLS
Each reel contains Stacked Mystery Symbol positions, which are replaced with one random symbol before each spin starts. All Mystery Symbol positions are replaced by the same symbol per spin.
WINDS OF WEALTH RE-SPINS
This feature is randomly triggered after the reels spin. If any low-paying symbol (royal values) appear on screen, they’ll be removed and the symbols above them will cascade down.
This continues until only high-paying symbols fill the reels, and wins are paid at the end of the round.
FREE SPINS
Landing 3, 4, or 5 lucky cat Scatters on the reels will instantly trigger 10, 15, or 20 Free Spins. Oh, and you have a higher chance of landing them if the Winds of Wealth Re-spins feature is active.
BUY FEATURE
Don’t want to wait for Free Spins to trigger on their own? You can buy 3, 4, or 5 Scatters for 45x, 73x, and 156x your bet respectively.
Performance
I tested Winds of Wealth slot on my mobile and desktop devices, putting it through hundreds of spins with nary a whisper of a problem.
It also works on the browser of your choice – I usually go with Chrome or Safari.
Maximum Win
I’d wager that most players wouldn’t turn down the €114,576 maximum win, but it is quite low when you consider the medium-high volatility and bet limits.
You’ll need to reach into your bankroll for €96 a spin, and cross your fingers in hopes of landing the (measly) 1,506x multiplier to score the top payout.
Conclusion
Despite all of the fart jokes in the introduction, I actually quite enjoyed Winds of Wealth slot. Firstly, it’s very easy on the eyes, and the gameplay is seamless enough for mobile and desktop betting.
There are a couple of nice features on the go too, which add an extra element to what is quite a basic game otherwise.
However, I really can recommend Winds of Wealth slot – especially if you’re into the whole Oriental vibe.
