Mines Review

Human beings have come up with some inventive ways to torture each other but none more imaginative than a brick of Lego.

It’s so painful that Scott Bell, who has a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest-ever barefoot walk over burning coals, tries his best to avoid it. 🔥

I can hear your question now: “It sounds like he’s being regularly exposed to Lego. Why?” Apparently, Lego is used to train people to do fire walks and even in charity events and team-building workshops. Oh lordy, I hope my boss doesn’t read this! 😱

It’s one thing to know you’re going to step on some Lego but it’s that discarded little bastard in the living room that has me worried. This brings me neatly to our next game, Mines, and it’s a Bitstarz Originals. 💣

Gameplay

When you first click on the Mine game icon, it will take you to a screen with a big blank square on the right, and your settings and preferences on the left.

The first thing you’ll need to do is place your bet, which can be from €0.00 to €500. Yeah, you can place a bet of zero euro but that’s so that you can test the game out as there’s no official free version.

You can also use the “1/2” and “x2” buttons to quickly get to the bet of your choice, instead of hitting the minus and plus keys a bunch of times.

Now that you’ve decided how much you want to stake, you must choose how many mines you want hidden in the 25-square grid. The more mines, the more risk, but also the greater the reward (and money, of course).

If you’re familiar with the game, then you can also hit the AUTO button. Set the variables and let the software remove the manual labor from the equation.

Once you’ve done all the above, hit BET and you’ll see that the “Place Your Bets” banner disappears. The grid is now open and ready for you to select the squares you think will contain a diamond.

Hit a sparkly gemstone and you can keep going but your aim should be to cash out before you step on a mine because then you’ll lose everything you’ve made in the round.

There’s a counter to the left that shows you how much you’ve made and that’s based on your number of mines/risk/current multiplier. The available multipliers in this game run the gamut from 24.38x to 5,070,292.6x which is truly astonishing!

As for the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
, that comes in at 97.50%, and the maximum you can win is capped at €100,000. The volatility is variable, given that you decide how many mines and therefore how much risk you’re willing to take.

There are no currency limitations so you can play with the money of your choosing.

Right at the bottom of the left-hand side, you’ll see the SETTINGS, RULES, HOTKEYS, LIVE STATS, HISTORY, and FAIRNESS buttons.

I’m going to talk about Fairness as it’s an essential element of this game and one that all of us players are interested in. Mines is provably fair, meaning you can verify if the results are random and haven’t been changed by the operator.

There’s a lot more info available, including who verifies the Random Number Generator, so check it out.

Features

There are no additional features in this game.

Performance

I played a ton of rounds on Mines and it never failed me once. And the game is also browser and device agnostic.

Maximum Win

You can walk away with €100,000 in your pocket if you nail the odds in this game. Betting starts at zero and maxes out at €500, and the multiplier range starts at 24.38x and is capped at 5,070,292.6x.

Conclusion

I love a good mine game and this BitStarz Originals version stands out among its peers. Not only is it stripped of all distractions, but it also looks incredible on a phone – which means you can play wherever you happen to be.

The multiplier range is frankly stupendous, and the betting range has more wiggle room than Adele’s old underwear.

Add to this that Mines is provably fair and you’ve got yourself a scintillating game that covers all the bases. Would I recommend it? You betcha!
