60 Second Heist Slot Review

Introduction

As much as I’d like to think that I’m equipped for a high-stakes heist, my anxiety would almost certainly get the better of me. At the first sign of trouble, I’d dissolve into a quivering puddle and confess the entire plan to the nearest authority figure without a second thought.

Even movies such as Ocean’s 11 get my heart racing and make my palms sweaty. Although, I wouldn’t mind being the only woman in that all-star cast of utter dreamboats.

I mean, George Clooney and Brad Pitt? Is it too much to say that I have a craving for a spot of Eiffel Tower? Don’t look that up.

So rather than dragging the master criminals down with me, I guess I’ll have to live out my fantasies by playing 60 Second Heist slot from Yggdrasil! Not the worst problem to have.

Gameplay

This slot may be called 60 Second Heist, but you’re going to want to spend longer than a minute on it. I was engaged from the jump, largely thanks to the brightly-colored reels and quirky soundtrack.

The reels are set against a Miami backdrop, with the turquoise sea winking deliciously in the sunlight. The minor symbols are predominantly money-themed, which should come as no surprise given the nature of the game.

Four of the heist’s masterminds act as the major symbols, offering higher wins than their lower-echelon counterparts. There are two Wild symbols represented by a sexy FBI agent and what I assume is her hooker-inspired disguise.

A speedometer acts as the Scatter, and it's responsible for triggering Free Spins - but we’ll get into that in a moment.

60 Second Heist slot was built for mobile play thanks to the Big Reel Portrait Mode, which stacks the reels on top of each other, spinning right to left and paying out from top to bottom.

The controls are set to the sides of the screen and are probably the game’s biggest drawback. The menu button is tiny, so much so that I had to search for it - not ideal for those of us with crappy eyesight.

60 Second Heist slot clocks in with an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
of 96% (pretty standard stuff) and a high volatility rate that promises big wins less frequently. The maximum win is €240,000, triggered by the whopping 60,000x multiplier.

The bet limits are quite restrictive, starting at just €0.20 and capping off at €4. Frankly, I expected a little more consideration for the high rollers! Other than that, you’ll play on 5 reels and 1,204 paylines.

Features

The Free Spins round is the star of this slot. It works on a timer rather than giving you a set number of spins.

Landing Scatters on reels 1, 3, and 5 triggers the 60-second Free Spins round.

It comes with an increasing multiplier, and the higher the multiplier goes, the faster it increases.

Landing more Scatters will either award extra time or a speed boost.

Turbo Lock Respin

A 10-second Turbo Lock Respin can land on any spin, during which time all of the winning symbols will lock on the reels. The rest of the symbols will spin around them, hopefully creating even bigger wins.

Bonus Bet

Boost your chances of winning Free Spins by using the Bonus Bet feature.

Use the slider to adjust your bonus chance, which will also increase your stake.

Performance

As is expected from Yggdrasil, 60 Second Heist slot put on the performance of a lifetime. I tested it on my mobile phone (both in portrait mode and normally) and my desktop. With no glitches or buffering issues, this slot was a dream to play.

Maximum Win

The maximum win is €240,000. Some career criminals might be disappointed by such a haul, but I’m perfectly happy with it.

Conclusion

It’s honestly hard to find anything wrong with this slot. The controls could be more user-friendly, but I’m just nitpicking.

Frankly, 60 Second Heist slot gave me the ride of my life, an achievement previously attributed to my college boyfriend - miss you, babe!

It’s engaging from start to finish, with colorful reels and a unique Free Spins round that gets the blood pumping in all of the right places.

This slot is absolutely worth a spin, if you don’t give it a shot, you’re missing out.
