Dwarf Mine Slot Review

To be honest, I’ve never understood pop cultures (kind of offensive) fascination with Dwarves. Aren’t they really just Little People who have been given some kind of fancy power? Like, I don’t understand it at all. Where does the trope that they worked in mines come from? I mean logistically it makes sense, given that they’re far below average height but still strong, but what a bizarre thing to have as a stereotype!

Gameplay

Dwarf Mine is a 5-reel, 1024-payline video slot powered by software from Yggdrasil. I feel like the theme is pretty self-explanatory, so why don’t we get straight into symbols and save everyone some time? Symbols include spades, clubs, hearts, diamonds, shovels, axes, helmets, and lanterns. There are also 4 collectible gemstones, and a bonus that triggers the free spins feature.

Controls are very user-friendly, but let’s run through them. From left to right below the reels you can expect, Lines, Coin Value (from 0.07 to 5.00), Cash Bet, Max Bet, Spin, Auto Play, Win, and Balance.

Features

So, what features can you expect from Dwarf Mine?
Landing a win with more than one symbol on a reel triggers a multiplier.

Unique Features

The bonus symbol really does most of the heavy lifting for Dwarf Mine. Unique Feature include:

  • Expanding Reels: Reels can expand to up to 16,807 paylines! This feature is triggered when you land a bonus symbol on reels 1, 3 or 5. This expands the game by one row, and each reel can be expanded by 3 rows.

  • Free Spins: Landing 3 bonus symbols (on reels 1, 3 and 5) will trigger 10 free spins on an expanded 5x7 set of reels.

  • Collectibles: Collecting 5 gemstones of the same color will trigger 5 free spins. The red gemstone is the most valuable one, and pays 4 times your stake for 5 on a payline. This feature is also on the expanded 5x7 reels.

Performance

Set underground, this slot is really well designed. It offers fantastic graphics, the kind of “heave-ho!” soundtrack you’d expect from a mining themed slot, and it’s available to play on mobile, tablet and desktop!

Max Win

The max coin win is only 100, however you can win up to 3,904.2x your bet during free spins.

Conclusion

Work up a sweat getting down and dirty in the mines with the Dwarves in Yggdrasil’s exciting slot (strange choice of words perhaps). Dwarf Mine brings you exciting features, huge wins, and the opportunity to get a glimpse into the lives of the mine workers (obviously not real mine workers though). It’s a lot of fun, and I can highly recommend it (which is something I say quite rarely).
