More Fresh Fruits Slot Review
There is every possibility that you’ve played Fresh Fruits – a popular game from Endorphina – during your online slots travels. While it wasn’t exactly the best game, far from it in fact, it had enough charm to resonate with players that enjoy a bare-bones online slots experience. So much so that we now have a sequel on our hands – enter More Fresh Fruits.
For most players Fresh Fruits wasn’t a “must play game” by any means, so More Fresh Fruits needs to be bigger, better, and more enjoyable. While the gameplay seems to have been kicked up a notch or two, you can help but feel that – much like the original – More Fresh Fruits is lacking where it matters most.
Gameplay
More Fresh Fruits lets the juice run free from the get-go, as it immediately beats it predecessor when it comes to paylines and bet levels. Through 40 paylines – selecting between 1 and 40 on any given spin – you can stake up to 400 coins. This puts More Fresh Fruits into high-roller territory, which is exactly what we like to see. When it comes to gameplay, this is a pretty traditional offering, but the fact that you can lay down a hefty wager gives More Fresh Fruits some extra-added oomph.
In terms of actual symbols, More Fresh Fruits’ paytable has a pretty basic array of icons. However, while these icons might look flat, they come packed with real cash wins. Sitting atop the pile, the shooting star can win you a jaw-dropping 200,000 coins. That’s not the only big base game payout in More Fresh Fruits either, as the cash keeps coming through lesser payouts of 10,000 coins, 3,000 coins, 2,000 coins, and 1,000 coins.
Features
The payouts and prizes in More Fresh Fruits are certainly impressive, but they appear to come at a cost. That cost is bonus features, as this game doesn’t ever get out of first gear when it comes to action. You have the wild and the scatter which carry all the usual functions, on top of being linked to the two biggest jackpots in the game. More Fresh Fruits also includes a higher or lower gamble feature, which is just as bland and boring as it sounds.
Fresh Fruits as a game really struggled with replayability, as there was no reason to revisit the game after the first few spins. More Fresh Fruits appears to suffer from the same problem. The game needed some upgraded bonus features to go along with the new paytable, but sadly it doesn’t have that.
Max Win
More Fresh Fruits appears to be missing the fun-factor. But, it at least has a five-star max win to make up for it. We mentioned it earlier in this review, as the scatter symbol will be your ticket to a 200,000-coin win, should you be able to find enough of them on the reels. It might be personal preference, but a top-grade jackpot can make any game playable, with this certainly being the case with More Fresh Fruits.
Performance
Far and away our biggest issue with More Fresh Fruits is that it looks exactly the same as Fresh Fruits. If you don’t remember, Fresh Fruits was a pretty poor looking slot game, especially by Endorphina’s standards. We are stunned by the fact that the developer hasn’t felt the need to deliver something better in More Fresh Fruits. It’s the same tired graphics all over again, which makes you question how much Endorphina really wanted to release this game in the first place. From a design standpoint, More Fresh Fruits is lazy, with its performance and overall presentation suffering as a result.
Conclusion
We didn’t expect More Fresh Fruits to be the best slot game ever created, but we did expect better than this. For a sequel, it barely improves on the original, which wasn’t a particularly great game to begin with. The bumper stakes and payouts are a nice touch, but that’s all there really is to More Fresh Fruits. Overall, if you’re after a juicy real money online slots game we would suggest avoiding More Fresh Fruits, as this game is strictly for jackpot hunters.
